What is The Powder and Sun policy on privacy?
Powder and Sun takes your privacy very serious. Powder and Sun does not sell or give away sensitive personal information (such as credit card information) to any company outside of Powder and Sun. Additionally, from time to time manufacturers assist Powder and Sun with fulfillment and shipping in certain product categories, and in those cases these companies receive your name and shipping address so that they can process and ship orders properly.
What type of information is kept?
If you register with Powder and Sun, we ask that you register as a new user, and to establish a username and password so that you can access that information if you ever wish to modify it. For security purposes, we ask some questions that are unique, and only you will know. These questions are optional, how old our users are and how they heard about Powder and Sun
This is the only information you must fill out to have your order processed:
Your first and last name;
Your phone number;
Your address (the address the card is billed to);
The billing address, city, state and country;
Name on the credit card;
Your credit card number and expiration date;
A password question and answer unique for your account.
(A ship-to address is required if different from billing address.)
Secure Server Technology
All transactions, and information gathering, are completed on our secure server. When you're in secure mode, your computer and our server begin communicating, sending data back and forth in an encrypted format. The encryption features of browser software are exceptionally powerful and ensure the security of this data as it is transmitted to our server. Your browser in secure mode will display a URL address beginning "https://" rather than the standard "http://". The "s" stands for "secure." In Netscape NavigatorTM (versions 3.0 and earlier), the broken key symbol in the lower left corner of your browser window will become a solid key in secure mode. If you're using Netscape Communicator 4.0TM or higher, look for the padlock in the same space: it's open in standard mode and closed in secure mode. In Microsoft Internet ExplorerTM, you'll see a padlock symbol at the bottom of your browser window when the browser is in secure mode.
Information we'll NEVER ask
Powder and Sun does not request sensitive information such as a social security number, a Personal Identification Number (PIN) from a bank or credit card, or a driver's license number.
How do I change my information?
There are three different ways to modify your user information:
1. Log in to Powder and Sun account.
2. From the checkout area when you modify your account.
3. Call a Customer Service representative.
